Established in 2006, we are book-lovers who meet in the Sydney CBD. We usually meet the first week of the month, on Mondays or Tuesdays from 6:30pm to discuss this month's book. We choose venues that are 5-10mins walk Central or any of the Sydney CBD train stations. Most members are 30-45 years and enjoy reading a variety of books, including fiction, non-fiction and book-to-film adaptions. The group jointly selects books to read every three months. It's a friendly and intelligent group of interesting people who love to get together to have a drink and a chat. There's a great core of regulars and always new additions each month who bring their own suggestions and love of reading... This group is for those who enjoy reading food related books... along the lines of Michael Pollan, Paul Roberts, etc. We can definitely expand the areas of interest to address how food relates to both health and economy. I'd love to aim to read a book every 1-2 months.
