This is a group for anyone interested in reading and discussing books, mostly non-fiction. Book topics include sustainability, global warming, medical ethics, religion, politics, and topics/books of interest to members. Most current members identify as politically progressive but anyone who likes to read and discuss books is welcome. Recent reads have included The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.

For anyone interested in discussing and reading great books on politics, technology, culture, and history, this is the club for you! If the meetup gains traction, we'll come up with a system for book selections. For the first month, though, I have gone ahead and picked out "Steve Jobs" by Walter Isaacson.
