I have been getting so much out of a certain genre of literature that I decided to see if anyone else wanted to read and discuss them. All of these books are terrific depictions of the journey out of emptiness and back into the vitality of being alive. They always inspire. Anyone who finds the topic of re-discovering spiritual health and innocence, particularly if the starting point is a jaded love for self-destruction should join this meet-up. We'll meet weekly and peel one of these novels apar …
This is a book club for people interested in Korean and Korean American Literature. I hope to meet once a month for two hours. We will read works by Korean American authors, Korean authors in translation, and even works by non-Koreans about Korea.

Do you hate hipsters with an undying passion? Do you need people to drink shamelessly with in order to summon the courage to get on stage to croon in front of a large crowd of karaoke g …

The daily lives of most of us are full of things that keep us busy and preoccupied with mundane concerns. And then. perhaps we may internally begin exploring perennial questions that we don't normally stop to examine. This can happen with regard to any aspect of our lives. This study group is deliberately designed for those among us who are curious, enthusiastic, non-judgemental, and wond …

Want to meet other INTJs? INTJs are the rarest (1-2% of general population) and perhaps the least understood of the MBTI personality types. Able to deliver opinions of devastating honesty and absorb criticism with absolutely no blow to their egos, INTJs may find certain business or social situations confusing due to the host of trivial small talk and tribal rituals that mask these situations. Deep inside our grey matter however are competing models of the world fighting for supremacy through w …

If you want to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your potential, who you really are. Meditation is the route to that knowing. It is the methodology of the science of awareness. Many meditative techniques require one to sit still and silent. But for most of us accumulated stress in our bodymind makes that difficult. Before we can hope to access our inner powerhouse of consciousness, we need to let go of our tensions. Osho Active Meditations have been scientifically designe …

This Meetup Group is for people with an interest in all-things-science to get together, and not just on Saturdays. Maybe you often find yourself starting to tell a science-related story at a party, only to trail off awkwardly when you realize that you're not as clear on the details as you thought. Or your friends are hinting that they'd really rather not hear about Planet Earth anymore. Quite possibly, while others reminisce about Saturday morning cartoons, you fondly recall watching Mr. Wizar …
